Organic Wool Pillows

In order for wool to be considered organic there are several criteria that need to be met. These keep both the sheep and the land in a healthy state.

This is both for their own health and well being and for the need to treat them ethically. The carrying capacity of the land cannot be exceeded. This keeps the land healthy and productive for future generations. Only healthy medicines can be used. No synthetic or chemical based shortcuts. No chemical dipping or carbonization. This stops chemicals being used on the sheep and on the wool during processing.
Wool has a naturally occurring oil called lanolin. This is stripped out by chemical processing in normal wool but is retained in organics. Lanolin naturally repels dust mites so your pillow will be free of infestations. Wool also keeps dry naturally by pushing water to the surface, so mold and mildew cannot take hold.
